One of the most difficult things about being in nature during winter is staying warm. Having a fire is great but better than that is knowing how to build a shelter to hold that heat. In this lesson, we will discuss and demonstrate materials and techniques of constructing a simple shelter in the winter. We will then get our hands dirty and put up our own small shelter. We aren’t building a house, but we can keep the heat in and the snow out. Make sure to dress warmly and be prepared to dig in the snow. Meet by the Mogle building, just off of the parking lot.
