On Thursday, September 12th our chapter will host an evening of exploring the night sky at the Doug Firebaugh Observatory. The staff of the observatory will lead an introduction and short program, followed by the opportunity to observe celestial objects visible in August (September). Weather permitting, we will be able to see the moon, galaxies, major constellations, double stars, star clusters, and planetary nebulae through one of the three telescopes located at the observatory.

The event is open to all ages. In case of inclement weather the event will still be held, but limited to a modified program in the observatory.
